Suncoast Chapter Falcon Club of America

Greetings Fellow Falconeers !!

Here come the Holidays and I am just about out of leftover turkey.

So, let it begin with our annual Christmas dinner at the Wanzie’s.  What a fantastic way to close out this year.  Their home is perfect for this event and we get to “hang” in Tom’s Speed Shop out back.  If you are coming, please let Lauren know how many and what dish you want to bring.  Details in this newsletter.  And be sure to bring a toy for the Holiday Toy Collection.  Thanks to Lauren and Tom for making that happen.

During our meeting this month, we will be filling our Suncoast Board positions.  This is my last year as your president.  If you have an interest in being involved with this great group at the Board level, contact Fred Lievertz (407-619-5746 or  It is very rewarding to be involved with this group at the board level.

Once again, we had a great turnout for the Turkey Run in Daytona.  I was only able to be there on Saturday and I know from others that Friday was good too.  Thanks to all that brought their Falcon.  I spoke with many visitors that were amazed at the quality of our cars.  As I stood back and looked at our spot I sensed it made a real statement about the collectability of our Falcons.  We should all be very proud.  Thanks to the Wagner’s for creating the FCA tent.  Nice to see the group from Tennessee there again too. Link to video of Falcons at Turkey Run 2017, enjoy !!!!!

In January we will be at the Silver Springs All Ford Show by NPD in Ocala.  This will be the final time for this event.  The date is the 13th and this is a 1 day only event now.  We will hold a brief meeting there so if you have any business to present, please be prepared.  This usually is a well-attended show with more than 500 cars.  Visit the NPD site to register.  No charge for pre-registered.  See you there!!

And once again, please visit our group page on Facebook and click the like button so you can get our messages thru Facebook.

Merry Christmas and  Happy New Year

PS: Here is a link that I found on the Ford Falcon Owners Group in Facebook.  Great Hemmings article from 2011 comparing the 1965 Falcon to the 1965 Mustang.  An enjoyable read.
