Suncoast Chapter Falcon Club of America

Greetings Fellow Falconeers!

Well January is out of the way.  But then again, so is the NPD All Ford Show at Silver Springs.  If you were one of the few that didnít make it let me tell you that you missed a great event.  The cars just kept on coming in.  A total of 841 Fords were on display.  It was a bit brisk and cool but it sure was fun.  Last year the weather for the Silver Springs NPD All Ford event was lousy.  That made this year seem better anyway.  Unfortunately, this was the last year for this event.  Hopefully we will have a new event pop up for our January gather destination.  Do you have any suggestions?

Our Suncoast chapter annual dues are payable now for 2018. Please send a check to Tom Wanzie if you have not done so.  You should have already received your renewal notice (BY EMAIL) with provisions for any updates you might have.  Please make sure these are returned to Tom no later than March 31.  You must be an FCA member in good standing to belong to our Suncoast Chapter.

In March I am attending the SVRA (Sportscar Vintage Racing Assn.) racing event at Sebring Raceway.  While I find the SVRA cars and races amongst the best, I have my Falcon entered in the Hagerty Show & Shine located in the complex.  I went last year, and I am going back.  Car show is on Saturday the entry fee ($45 gulp) gets you passes for other days too.  Visit for details.  If we get a few of us going, we can meet up and park together though there were not that many cars last year.

Chuck Beason has secured parking for us for the Spring Turkey Run at Daytona Speedway.  This event is similar to the Fall Turkey Run set up.  Details listed in this newsletter.  Dates are March 23-24-25.  Special parking decal required along with pre-registration.

If you have any suggestions for meeting formats or details we need to address, please contact me.  My email is: or call me anytime at 863-206-1990.  I look forward to hearing from you.
