PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

The 29th National Falcon Convention is over and what a presentation. There were 180 cars all in great shape 50 members without a car, but they didn’t let that stop them. The 5 chapters that hosted the 29th National Convention did a great job. Lots of things to do and good restaurants within walking distance. On Thursday about 40 Falcons cruised to Branson, MO. to the Dick Clarks American Bandstand to visit 57 Heaven. All the vehicles were 1957 models. Cars, trucks, boats, kitchens, living rooms, ect.  Friday was another fun filled day. We went to Deco Manufacturing, and to the worlds largest Bass Pro Shop. Saturday was time for voting, that was hard. Lots of nice Falcons. Between all the activities there was shopping for the ladies every 1 ½ hour the bus went to the Mall. Tom Wanzies ’64 Futura HT received a class winner award, Congratulations to Tom and Lauren. Chuck took his ’65 “Springtime Yellow” Sprint he finished at Thanksgiving and won “Best of Show”. Congratulations Chuck. He did a great job. Our officers for next year are: Chuck Beason, President for his 3rd term; James Baxter, Vice-President and David Wagner is our newest Board member. Congratulations to all of you and thank you for all you do for the Falcon Club of America. Our next meeting will be September 13, 2008 at the Red Lobster at Old Town, 1:00 P. M. if you are having lunch, 2:00 P. M. for our meeting. Also remember “Titus Nites” in Titusville, 4:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. on September 6, 2008. You will need to be there no later that 3:00 P.M. for a good parking space and to park together.
